"Where You Are"

Make way! Make way! Friends, it's time you knew, the mission in Gra'andview, goes so hard!!! The Lord has been bringing many things together here in Tempe. It's pretty fun to be a little child-Elder stumbling in the metaphorical rain-blessings, trying to move my baby seal leather boots fast enough to catch all the rain-blessings I can in my overflowing grail.  It's like when you're at the JJ Jump money machine, phone booth thing and the cash is all flying around you, and your unstoppable 7 year old extreme athlete self leaves the 15 seconds in the machine with 6 dollars and the knowledge that there was a $100 bill somewhere in there. Sometimes that's how I feel trying to do the work of Christ! However, it is sooooo worth it! I may not be able to catch all them blessings for the area, but the blessings we have seen are sooo cool. Wednesday we left the mission to walk the Mesa temple with some of our friends. That was awesome! We have street contacted a lot of peo...

Cool Miracle! We have been working with our friend Mike, who has been clean from drugs and alcohol for about 4 months. One night, it was about 8:15 or 8:30, and we felt like we should call Mike. We called him and it was just a normal call for the first 5 minutes. We were getting ready to close out the call, when he was like, "You know where I am right now?" "You said you were on the bus." "Yes, but I was headed to buy some [drugs]. You calling me is a sign from God I need to turn around. I was about to give in." Pretty cool!! I had the opportunity to go on an exchange with an Elder who had served in Russia!! The last one in the mission. He is finishing his mission next month. He brought lots of cooking supplies, and made блины с гречкой. Basically some fire crepes with buckwheat and chicken (gretchka)! 'Twas soooo good. Took me back to my mother Russian roots. We have been working with this AWESOME family; the parents are inactive, and the 3 boys (15,1...

"To Be Honest With You Man... I Don't Even Know"

Less words. More pictures. I do not trifle with words. I'm a man of the people. We got you an old fashioned, dragoon totin', photographical shoot out. Short story for the kids: We had dinner with the Villalobos. They are an elderly couple in the ward. Brother Villalobos is 97. He told us to sit down at the dinner table. He moved with no wheelchair, no walker, no cane. He then brought us our food from the kitchen. Humbling, and legendary. He built the stake center building here in Tempe. He served in WW2. He gave me John Welch IV vibes, and it was awesome! That is the dream. We had some great lessons this week. The work is great. Find continually, teach repentance, baptize converts. Have Miracles Ceased? NAYYYY!!

We out here soaking in miracles. God is pouring out blessings on the work here. The cup runneth over. The grind doesn't stop though.  1 hype story for the kids... We are walking through an apartment complex with 15 minutes left before we have to go preach the pleasing word elsewhere. We weren't sure where to spend them, so we stopped to pray on the path. Then, we heard a shuffle of feet behind us. The footsteps went off to the rock by us, then stopped. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, but I opened my eyes during the prayer to see who was there. Homie (a guy next to us) had his eyes closed and arms folded.     When we finished. We were like, "What's good?!"     He was heard to have said something along the lines of, "I thought I should pray with you. I asked God to show me His path, then y'all were on it."     We said, "That's awesome! We would love to get your number and start meeting to help you come closer to Christ."     "Sure, also... ...

New Comp 's a Tongan beast Taking my time, looking to find, but I stop to eat Faking the dime, booking the grind, I am one with thE AB I have greater cooking skills than Peter Pet-ti-grew. (The secret is the crockpot) Lineage is important, #sonofAndrew Work has been going well. My new companion is named Elder Asisi. He a big man. He played lots of football. He is from Provo, and before that Tonga. He is a convert, and now he's putting in that work for the Lord! Flies, rings, that's mid. We have the Lord of Israel, and of everything. It has been really fun to lead out this area. We do a lot of street contacting. On one such occasion, we were biking by a a man getting into a car. (Picture the bad guy at the end of Mandolorian season 1). We said, "Hi" to him, and then he stopped turned, and said, "Oh, I can talk about Jesus." For the next five minutes, he pranced around the adjacent parking space preaching the scriptures to us. It...
