We Eats It Raw!!!

Image
We have had a great week. Completely packed... but we are eating it up! Elder Giles is an Elder of a beast. I don't mince my words... Story for the kids:  We have been working with the members a LOT. Praying for miracles and trying to help the wards find the elect. Then... a youth in our ward texted us and said, "Hey, after church will you teach my friend?"  After we finished our 3rd sacrament meeting, we rushed out to the lesson. It was nothing short of miraculous. The "friend" was mad elect. She has already read half the Book of Mormon and come to church many times, but she had never met with the missionaries. That's a referral and a half. The crazy part is, we didn't teach that family a member lesson or anything. We didn't do anything to create the referral. The Lord did it all. Cool stuff. Trust in the Lord.  Share the gospel. We will see if the Sheppert family in Vancouver shares the gospel with anyone this week. I will let all the readers on he...

All I needed was some brick and a scar Now, all I need is a book and a car I've got a Bible in my one hand, tripo combo in the other,  we unified, biking fast, preachin gospel to my brothers Work, work, Whitmer! Work, work, Cowdery! (And Harris) the three witnesses!  The week has been swell. Transfers have been awesome. There was a lot of planning this week, trying to figure out how to best work this area. False alarm on San Tan Valley! That's the name of our zone, but... it is just the edge of our mission in South Chandler and Gilbert. This is a rich, nice place. 'Couve Gang, don't sweat tho. We ain't back to the fiery chasms from whence we came just yet.  We have had lots of steak, and delicious meat. One of our ward mission leaders has watched "Top Gun Maverick" in theaters 12 times. Beat that, Jared (JP).  It is still awesome to serve as a missionary!! I just keep learning and keep trying my best. A good verse I have shared lately is Mosiah 18:21. ...

Yes it's transfer week! (Bars next week) I'm out to the San Tan Valley. We going from the trenches to THE TRENCHES!!!  Actions speak louder than words, so let my words explain to you my actions this past week.  There we were. A Tongan and an American. Battling against the forces of evil in a life or death contest. Can we disconnect some sketchy gas tank plugs under a truck. YES! Our friend Jose was working on his truck, so we got down to business and pulled some plugs under the truck.  The Danas came to church, and I just feel so happy about it. They were recently baptized, and I'm just ecstatic because they are still active! How bout dat? Elder Sheppert
