This week was the opposite of Tennesse Whiskey. It was not smooth, and it was good for the work! The Spirit beats liquid courage 9 out of every 8 times. I'm not drunk;) All but one of our friends canceled their lessons this last week, so we had some great opportunities to find the elect. While trying to avoid rote prayer, one in the field is likely to hear me pray for something like, "Please lead us to the elect, and help us to recognize them." As we know from D+C 29:7, the Lord teaches, "Mine elect hear my voice and harden not their hearts." That's what we are on the search for ladyies and gents, and it's so fantastic!  In other newz, the new Preach My Gospel dropped and it is AMAZING. Yesterday this member homie's name popped into my head for the 3rd time this week. Problem was that he had yelled at us on the phone to not come by a few months ago. You know the guy in home alone with the tommy gun. Yeah. We decided to follow the feeling. His crib also looks pretty mad sketch (maybe chamber of secrets type vibes). A trailer behind a fence that has stop signs, chains, and no trespassing signs all around. We called em to see if he would let us in and he was hesitant. We got him with the classic, "We wanted to wish you a happy father's day!" He thought for a moment and said something along the lines of, "Oh whatever, fine, yall can come on by right now. My wife will come unlock the chains and open the fence when you guys pull up." We went in and it was super hype! We shared a good message and I just felt like the Lord was leading us. Let's goooo!! Seeing that it is a Monday, here's one for this coming sabbath... SHABBAT SHALOM Currently, the work is awesome. It's like having a sweet 1v1 build battle on Camino, and there is most definitely gold on the ceiling.  We had a lesson scheduled with Michael, one of our most progressing friends, and his girlfriend. As we got out of our prior lesson, we got a text from our fellowship for Michael's lesson. They had said, "Would it work to meet at Culvers instead of the church?"  Of course!! We whipped on to Culvers and met them all there. Mid-grub on our ice cream, a family from the CG3 ward (my ward from over a year ago) walks in and sits right by us. We go on with the lesson and really focus on baptism. The CG3 member interrupts and shares the most fire conversion story. To sum up this week in a single email, would be like eating a 100lb marshmallow peep in one sitting. I don't wanna ruin this one, this type of love don't always come and go. 3 Nephi 5:8 captures it well: "And there had many things transpired which, in the eyes of some, would be great and marvelous; nevertheless, they cannot all be written in this book; yea, this book cannot contain even a hundredth part of what was done among so many people..." Our friends Michael and Amanda pulled up to church yesterday! So gas! They have been working towards it for the last few weeks and they finally got there. Amanda was baptized a few years ago and she has been such a good influence on Michael!
