Some people say don't hide behind Cacti. Something spiritual for all the fans of 'the work' out there. My companion and I were in "The Villages," one of the housing complexes in our area, and we were stopping by a lot of houses of people we knew or were teaching but no one seemed to be home. We decided to head to a different part of the area. As we were nearing the edge of The Villages, my companion felt prompted to turn towards one of the guys we are teaching still in the Villages. When we got to his street, I felt like we needed to turn onto another street we had never seen before. I was positive we had been everywhere in The Villages, but I didn't recognize this place at all. We continued down the road to a couple cul-de-sacs. I saw a moving truck sitting in an otherwise barren driveway. I felt like we needed to go over there, so we did. Then we just sat there by the truck for 2ish minutes until someone came out of the house. I said, "Can we help?...

To the people who read my emails, Yes, they doubted. Yes, they hated. Yes, they said he wouldn't take a picture next to a Giant Pineapple Tree. But. He. Did. It is awesome to see all these people from different walks of life growing closer to their Savior Jesus Christ. We were on a 35 MPH road, and these 2 cars were flooring it. We were going at a leisurely 41 MPH in the Chevy Equanox on a 2 lane road. The car in our lane whipped around us and kept going. "I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious." We talked to a guy who is a mechanic with a giant truck that he had suped up with 700 Horsepower, 4 wheel drive, and a 0-60...

Hello! This week we infiltrated the inner ring of the drag racing peoples. Let me rewind to the beginning. I got to my area, and immediately began to notice something interesting. There are a lot of 2 door fast racing cars. This led me to the question: Why all the fast, expensive cars?  Many of the houses in our area have their garages open. And many of those people are working on cars. Come to find out, almost all the people I have gotten to know, know everything about cars.  We went to one kid's house and he was telling us about all the stuff he was doing to trick out his car. And that's when it happened. The Dom Torreto of Maricopa walked outside. He was the brother of the kid we were talking to. Dom showed us his sweet carbon-fibered 2 seat, white BMW with black racing stripes. He told us about how tricked out the car was. He was SO cool. Hello!   I am currently residing in Maricopa, Arizona. It's pretty fantastic. My companions are pretty sweet. Elder Gilbert is leaving for his original assignment in 3 weeks, at which point it will be just Elder Stone and I. Kind of big sad, but Elder Stone is really awesome too. We will power through.  The Arizona Tempe mission is a biking mission. Every day we bike 15 minutes to get to our area and then at night we have to bike back. This place is so beautiful, and the bike rides honestly feel great. Sometimes, it makes me think of my own father on his mission biking through the Netherlands.
