"Game Recognize Game"

To the people who read my emails,


Yes, they doubted.
Yes, they hated.
Yes, they said he wouldn't take a picture next to a Giant Pineapple Tree.
But. He. Did.

This week has been fantastic. We have done a lot of work. We actually had 4 of our friends come to church this week! It is awesome to see all these people from different walks of life growing closer to their Savior Jesus Christ.


If you are curious about whether my Fast and Furious Theory was confirmed this week . . .
IT WAS!!
We saw a crazy high-speed chase with some sport cars weaving around us. We were on a 35 MPH road, and these 2 cars were flooring it. We were going at a leisurely 41 MPH in the Chevy Equanox on a 2 lane road. The car in our lane whipped around us and kept going. "I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious."


We talked to a guy who is a mechanic with a giant truck that he had suped up with 700 Horsepower, 4 wheel drive, and a 0-60 in under 3 seconds. He has it straight piped, so when he was starting it up, we heard it across the whole neighborhood. He said when he goes on "the 347," (the road that everyone races on) all the sport cars want to race, and he toasts almost all of them. 


Again, this is completely unrelated, but I average seeing about 3 accidents a week. Racing is dangerous. Driving is dangerous. Stay safe out there.

I love the Book of Mormon. It is so important that we read it, so that we can gain a testimony that it is true, and also so that we can have the spirit to be with us. Read a little extra this week.

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
