Robin, Get The Bat-Shark Repellent!

You know those days when you put on your spiritual hockey pads and beat up the evils of the world. The night is darkest just before the dawn... and dawn has been coming in through the windows at 6 now so I'm up at 6am!  No sweat though, because the work is Moo-ving. There is so much momentum in the whole mission right now and it is just exciting. To put it in words, remember the scene in "Lord of the Beans" where they are rolling down the hill in a snowball? Momentum in the mission is like that times 1.28!!! Our friend Bobbi made it to church this week. She has a lot of health problems, so wheeling her into the church felt like I was in a gamer chair in front of a limited-edition Ninja gamer PC hitting a 360 no. We had to make 2 trips to the bathroom for her. Afterwards, she said something to the effect of, "It was really difficult to come today, but I did it, and I'll try to do it again next week because I know this is so important!" It's the best, (nac...

Ay Panini

Well, I don't have much time. Here's a list of things: -I'm developing tech deck skills 4 the kids -Things are warming up a tad, similar to the hit movie Scorched Trials, but we have The Cure so we chillin. -An apostle is coming to Casa Grande!! (Elder Spida Smith) -Our friend Monica came to a baptism and then to church and is making big time strides -Panini go crazy!! -There is a positive spiritual momentum building here that is so awesome! The saints are working so hard and it's great to watch. Ministering is so cool to see! I'll be a part of it out here, you be a part of it over there. The gospel is so real and I see it change lives on the daily. Sincerely, An Elder from another Melder

TURN DOWN FOR WHAT

Hop off the bike, drippin the white, button up shirt, golf pants like Nik, Lessons at night, Casa Grand light, Throw out the gospel, hope someone bite We teachin' the lessons, We tryna be bold, The Spirit's a blessin', He shows us the road As the critically acclaimed and extremely wise Lil Jon once said, "TURN DOWN FOR WHAT?!!" (Can we please get Youngboy, Lil Jon, and Yahosh Bonner to drop a collab on the sacred music app?) Sums up the week pretty well. It went crazzzzzy. We probably had the most spiritual lesson of my evangelizing career. We have a 28 year old friend who has been talking to the missionaries for over a year. We watched a session of conference with him last week. This week we came over for our lesson and he hadn't read... so we started reading 1 Nephi 17 with him. When we finished verse 41, he took a long pause. He processed it, and continued reading. We came back to it after we had finished reading. Bam!! A few inspired questions, some more t...

Elder, Don't Freak Out If A Rat Crawls Over Your Foot.

Image
For general conference Saturday Evening, we went to the house of a family we are teaching here in CG! As we were getting out of the car, Elder Sanders leaned over to me and said, "Elder, don't freak out if a rat crawls over your foot." We walked in and it was wild... a lot going on in that house. The sultan of the home welcomed us and we went in to the "diner." Storage shelves on every wall, holding a plethora of the most glorious, crusty cooking appliances you could ever want along with food storage. They had Ninja blenders (tilted towers) and food looking so new you would call it Mr. Fresh... not. Anyways, our hosts were very into the messages! Due to the constant scurrying under the table, and my focus on avoiding the ROUS's pulling me into the marsh, I will be going back to re-listen to the Saturday Evening Session. We may be getting a single dad with 7 kids a ride to church for Easter Sunday. Stay tuned to see if President Phelps will let us borrow the ...
