Breaking news: Mama Shep handed out a Book of Mormon!!! #BaptizingNations     Transfer news: I'm staying in South Chandler with Elder Giles. He had tried to fast and pray mightily asking that he might escape serving with me as companions for another transfer. No worries though, because I snuck food and water into his mouth when he was sleeping and I made sure to pray that his prayers didn't make it to heaven. I think we are good     Great news: We see fatty miracles on the daily. With lots of service and other random things, we haven't been able to be in the area as much as we would like, but the Lord has greatly magnified our time in area.      Ugly news: The district I'm in is singing for a stake Chrismas meeting. Dat gir is ugers.      Bad news: Ain't nobody got time for that.     Fake news: 2023 Youth album tops kids bop for #1 best album all time. (Trix are for kids)      Did you know that your...

Miracles Or Lyricals

We were whipping on the bikes, as one casually does after comp study, to catch some quick calories at the crib. There was a nice old chap working in his yard down the road, so we headed towards him to see if we could help. As we approached, he went inside.  Bummed that that man may be missing out on his only chance this side of death to hear the Restored Gospel, we biked away, pedaling as one does when the game is on the line, and winning means everything. We rounded a few uncharted corners in the same AZ clime. Only 2 or 3 minutes from the crib, Elder Giles stopped in his zero- carbon-emission tracks. I would liken this to that of Jerry the Mouse spotting a slice of cheese as he eludes a large кот. The spirit, working within Elder Giles, brought to his recollection a krib he had stopped by months before. An inactive member that no members or missionaries had been able to meet lived there. As two Mongolians effortlessly dismounting their trusty steeds, we neared the door. Upon our ...

"That's Being Facetious!!"

What a week. If I told you the half of it, I'd half to kill you... with this thumb. #mixedreference  We were out working, and we felt inspired to stop by a less active member another member told us about. We did, and it was like the only possible time we could share a message with her in like 3 weeks. It was a miracle. We have experiences like that all the time.  Not too much time today, but suffice it to say, when the skies look gray, we need to pray. Reread 3 Nephi. It goes crazy!  That's all folks,  Elder  Sheppert Also, after it rains you get 2x speed in the canals.

"Well . . . You Don't"

Truth be told, sweater is a word that doesn't make sense for that type of jacket. Honestly, if you are going to sweat, take off the sweater! And if you are sweating, don't put one on!!! Things have cooled down a bit, and this is the time of year I get to look down on all the other missionaries who didn't pack for European Blizzards. I've got lil' gray, big blue, mid black, and big dawg jack(et). The week has been CrAzY. The whole zone was getting sick on and off, so I have been at home sleeping one day and covering 6 wards the next. Yet he persisted! This ended up being a fantastic week for the area. We have been able to set up and teach an insane amount of member lessons. We have some big plans on the board. TIME TO EXECUTE. I said you look ugly Denise.  The focus in the mish is member work. I have been pouring my soul into PMG like Tequila into El Guapo the Borracho. And let me tell you, I've gotten a plethora of ideas. (How can you tell if it's a mail pla...

IF THERE'S AN INKLING IN YOUR HEDGE ROW

Don't be alarmed now. Would you believe your eyes? If 10 million white shirt and ties. Came by your house to share a powerful message on Christ!! My family back home did some big time work for the Lord this week. I told the world I would report on their effort, and they did good. They invited many people to the ward party, and even helped some non-members to get there.  Anyways, they gon' take off on these peons and go straight to Mars. The work has been great. Time flies when you have none of it. None of it ties the flime though. Some good Shakespeare with a gospel principle for y'all: "Who buys a minute's mirth to wail a week?" In the holy scripts I read about how we prosper by degrees (Mosiah 21:16) Or poison by degrees (Alma 47:18) Whose side are you on? That's all folks. Have a good week chaps and others. ELDER SHEPPERT
