Dig On This (Snap, Snap, Snap)

I have the opportunity to stop and talk to many people every day as they are walking to whatever in going on in their life. Here's a few approaches I have tried (I put in some responses that may be real or may be taken from the Toby Maguire Spiderman films. You get to decipher which is which.)


A
Approach: Hey! We have a really cool class at our church that helps people dig for info on family that has passed away!
Response: Dig on this (snap, snap, snap)
B
Approach: Hey, do you have a moment?
Response: I'll rub some dirt in your eye
C
Approach: We'd love to share a quick message with you on how you can find more peace and joy in this life!
Response: You're like the son I never had.
D
Approach: PLEASE, sombody get help! (I proceed to throw Elder Goodrich at the people)
Response: I'll squash you like the bug you are.
E
Approach: Hey! We are representatives of Christ! We would love to share a quick message with you that will bring you some peace!
Response: I have actually been wanting to learn more about your beliefs! Could we meet up sometime?
F
Approach: I can see you are busy, but our message is the best thing ever. Could we grab your number and meet up later?
Response: I'll pay my rent when you fix this dang door
G
Approach: I know that God loves you! Can I show you our proof?
Response: I'm something of a scientist myself


Twas a great week! I love this work, these wards, and for sure the Book of Mormon! Family scripture study is critical! Read it or lose the knowledge you have. Go cougs!

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! It'll be good to keep grinding, living and sharing the word of Christ. That doesn't change! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
