When The Days Are Cold
And the cards all fold.
Transfers are tomorrow (Wednesday). My brother Elder Giles is leaving to Casa Grande. Big Sad. Presidente told me to put my heart in the bag, and nobody gets hurt. Elder Giles and I have had:
-3 transfers (18 weeks) together as Companions
-9 weeks as MTC companions
-1.5 transfers (9 weeks) as housemates
In total, we have slept in the same room in the same house for 36 weeks so far.
Cool story: There's this lady who is super smart and extremely busy working a full time job as a medical professional and also raising 2 rambunctious children. In the last 18 weeks we have stopped by quite a few times, but never a answer until...
SHE OPENED THE DOOR SUNDAY AND IT WAS SO HYPE. She has been really busy but we were able to share a brief message and promise rest just like President Nelson. (Dab)
We also had a Master Shifu/Master Chief type beat day. From like 2-5pm, a name of someone would pop into one of our heads! We would head straight there, give blessings or meet nonmembers, then another name would pop into our heads! We would be off to another house. It is so cool that we can have spiritual promptings and be on the Lord's errand.
At the Recovery Ranch, there is this old German man who visits every once in a while. He founded the place. Yesterday, he pulled Elder Giles and I aside and in a thick German accent that can only be compared to silky smooth peanut butter on mildly burnt toast (sorry Elder Cox, no honey this time) he said, "Just remember, you guys are on the right side."
Whose side are you on? The line has been drawn, from here to beyond.
Elder Sheppert
