Over 9000!!

This week was amazing. The Lord is in this work, and I know He wants all to come unto Him.


There is an overload of content for this email. Instead of throwing it all in here, I will walk you through a goated story of epic proportions. We need a burglar.


Imagine a land, in a far away place, where the caravans came in Dodge. The story starts with a carrier pigeon floating a message through the cloud to the Lindsay 3rd ward Ward Mission Leader. "We would love to have you come with us to a few lessons Wednesday night." He said sure, and the rest is history.


I remember that night, I just might remember that night for the rest of my days. We met him in a new gated community in the area, where the gates stay open throughout the day, for our first lesson! After that, we hopped in his stick shift Honda Civic and civilly skirted to some other homes in the area. Rounding out the night we stopped by our new friend Elisa! We helped break down some boxes for her and then sat down to share a message. It was sliced bread and she was so down to meet with us weekly! Member fellowship go crazy. We got out of the lesson and it was 9:35 (that's not a thumbs up from papi). We jumped in the Civic and Tokyo drifted back up to our car about 8 minutes away.


We got up to the gated community and apparently the gates CLOSE AT 8. So there we were. Our Ward Mission Leader asked, "What does the scouter report say?" No, jkrotfl, he asked, "What should we do?" We told him to let us out at the Black gate. "How will y'all get to your car?"


The camera gets a close up of my companion and I as I say, "Life finds a way." Our valiant Brother Skeets back to his family as Elder Giles slides his backpack under the gate. We Pacifier our way under, and epicly walk the quarter mile to the car. The camera pans to a glorious bird's eye view as the voice of Morgan Freeman wraps up the evening by saying, "Giddy up Elders, Giddy up."

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! It'll be good to keep grinding, living and sharing the word of Christ. That doesn't change! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
