Ay, It's A Holiday, All My Elders On Go!!

Well I snuck into the game yeah I joined the force, 

Pulled a gimmick I admit it but we stayed the course

They tried to test me

But we festive

Missionary but rappers still respect me

 

 

It's been a great week! Merry Christmas! Peep the fact that while much of the US is suffering from a crazy cold storm, we chillin in AZ on Christmas with a beautiful day with a high of 74 and sunny! 

 

 

Let me tell you about the Ranch! Once a week, we put on our jeans n boots and go to work scooping crisp and fresh poop in the scrupulously maintained barns of a glorious horse ranch with some of the guys who there abide. They are all from the John Volken Academy, which helps people change their lives and break addictions! It has been really cool to work with guys there. We also go once a week and eat dinner with em and share a spiritual message. Then we teach lesson to those who stay after dinner!! It has been really cool to see some of these HUGE guys learn more about their Savior. 

 

 

I've had Ham and Cheesy Potatoes a plethora of times in the last 3 days, a fluent Spaniard would say that's pretty guapo. Annie would be in heaven here, seeing as everyone, their mom, and their grandma have some treat to give to the missionaries. It's cool to see how much love the members here have for the Elders. Don't worry my Elderen, I will be sending some of their cookies across the globe promptly jkrotfl.

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
