MODERN WARFARE

WE IN DA TRENCHES. Tit for tat. Neck for neck. We fighting Satan each day out here in AZ (the weather is a similitude of the widely accepted home of the adversary). We took the fight to the nest! This week we pulled a couple fast moves and gained some more ground in this Celestial Conquest!


Uppercut- A part member family we have been working with wants to be baptized! We set a baptismal date. Prayers up for Parx, Riggs, and Knox.


Reinforcements- Our members showed up big time and were at almost every lesson. We just work here...


Holy Hand Grenade- Every Morning before we work out I have been trying to read a New Testament chapter. It has just exploded Satan's attacks to smithereens. A palpable surge of momentum indeed.


Headshot- We were walking through an apartment complex and a man was like "Can I talk to you for a second?" We said sure and shared some words of eternal life. It went great and he had real desire, so we set a goal with him of baptism on October 8th! Prayers up for your boy Chris!


In summary... fire week, not too bleak, I end this now, and go and seek.

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! It'll be good to keep grinding, living and sharing the word of Christ. That doesn't change! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
