MONSOON SEASON

When it be 112 degrees and dry enough to make you sneak into May Hall to steal some lotion, but then a giant dust storm rolls in in like 2 minutes, followed by rain clouds of epic proportions. Your phone is buzzing like crazy with dust, flood, and storm warnings. And you are the only one on the road going towards the storm. Cars flying past you at warp speed in the opposite direction, but you have a dinner appointment. And you... the Grandview missionaries, would never lose ward trust just because of a mere monsoon! You press forward, frantically downshifting only to find that the wind doesn't care what gear you are in. Your super manly, one strap backpack, (worn like a fanny pack) flings itself to the side of your body... with similar vigor to that of Golem flinging himself towards the ring. The bike creaks and whines, knowing what you have just realized. If only you hadn't eaten that extra pop-tart this morning. You would've been just aerodynamic enough to slice through the wind. Instead, the hulking mass you have become pushes through the invisible force while your smaller companion bikes right behind you, using his Mariokart knowledge for a righteous purpose. The sounds coming out your mouth sound like dry SpongeBob.

The apartment approaches. You are welcomed inside, as the storm dissipates. "Not this time," you whisper to the storm as it decides to move elsewhere, in search of less fortunate companionships.

This week was awesome! Heavenly Father took control and led us to some really cool people. This is His work, but we can give Him something to magnify. I know that as we study the scriptures, we are preparing ourselves to be better tools for God!

I know I put poptarts in a bad light...but the great value pack is such a good deal! It's like 2 buck for 12!!
