"Ubik"

I've been doing some thinking. A dangerous pass time, I know. But, I am pretty sure my body has peaked and is now on the decline. Sorry to let you all down, but I'm entering my old man stage of life. We went to Subway on Thursday, and I ordered a scrumptious, foot long, Spicy Italian sandwich. I was nearly full on just the first 6 inch!! Once I was 3/4ths in, I was stuffed. I have obtained old man status! 


If this isn't evidence enough, we were talking to some people about a miracle, and I said, "Isn't that neat." Once I realized the phrase I had begun, I choked on my words, and didn't quite finish the word "neat." However, it was too late. At this rate, I will give my homecoming talk with a walker, and I will make a comment about how I left my reading glasses at home, so I can see the audience, but not my talk, which was printed on a typewriter.


Joe's Baptism was a huge success! Many members showed up and Joe loved it so much! We then had the opportunity to confirm him yesterday, which was sooo cool! The spirit was very strong.


This week has been very cool because the spirit will literally guide us on where we need to be. I will be biking to our next appointment and the spirit will nudge me to turn down a different street. We go. The Lord has led us to 4 or 5 interested or new people to teach through this. #awesome.

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
