The Marshall Mathers EP

Taught a man named Mathers. The Elder I replaced was named Elder Marshall from Detroit. Too many sorcerers!

One time we were biking down a street and this man who was chilling with his buddies that we said hi to was down to talk. He asked us some questions and we gave some answers. Then... he pointed to the dart board in his garage and asked, "Do y'all play?"

We accepted the challenge and started off the match.

The man would ask me which 3 numbers he should hit, then he would get all three. I was a little intimidated and got off to a slow start. As the game progressed, Elder Madsen's score became less and less relevant, yet, out of nowhere, he decided to throw a wager on the game. "If we win, we can teach you for 10 minutes. If you beat us, you can teach us whatever you want for 10 minutes." In my mind I was so confused why my companion would add so much extra pressure, especially when I was 5ish throws behind. The man's friends started laughing, and he accepted the wager. He was still doing trick shots, showing off for the fans. I could hear Coach Beno yelling, "Don't play with your food!"

I started climbing, as if I was the dark night rising back into the match, but we were nearing the end. As the silent Gregorian Chants built up in the pressure of each throw, the game left us searching for one final score. He needed a bullseye, as did I. My third companion (the spirit) may have slipped a syringe of ice cold venom into my arm, because I drilled the bullseye, and the crowd that had amassed was awestruck.

A defeat was realized. A sullen man picked up his libation and walked out to the street. Two pumped missionaries followed suit, as the fans disbanded and found every possible avenue to escape hearing the words of eternal life. We taught part of the Restoration and handed the man a Book of Mormon. We had a Broment and he promised me he would read it. Moral of the story, if your comp gambles away 10 minutes of your life, go with him twain.

SOMETIMES YOU GOT TO PLAY HARD TO WIN HARD PLAYA!!
