"Forgot To Pay My Rent Last Month, I Owwwwe That!"

This week has been a jubilous grind! 


>We have put in a lot of work on organizational things this week for our ward huddles and things.
>I found a dog that looks more like a sheep than Jimmer. 
>All the work we put into chess is paying off! The grind paid off, Dad!
>We rebuked 2 people this week! (Ezekiel 11:19 comes in clutch)


Crazy Lesson of the week
We were on an exchange and Elder Corrigan and I were teaching one of our friends. He had been struggling with the word of wisdom but wanted to be baptized. By the end of the lesson, he recommitted to his baptismal date and he handed us his cigarettes and coffee! It was hype. Then he said, "Uh, I think someone is stealing your bikes!" We turned to look and saw the other elders (my comp and the other AP) taking apart our bikes. We had locked the wheels together so they just started taking off the wheels. The car they were coming to get us in didn't have a bike rack. So, as we finished the lesson, they tried to shove 2 disassembled goliath-sized bikes in a Nissan Rogue. Then the 4 of us hopped in and sped off to dinner. It was a true miracle that they fit, and a truer miracle that we fit too! The car door sensors said the only doors closed were the front 2, and the trunk was open as well. Life finds a way.


There was a mix up in rent payment this month so we got a five day eviction notice a couple days ago. I have been assured the issue was taken care of, but it was very close. Stay tuned to see if I am homeless next email!

The rumors are true. I still buy green bananas, even after all that the prophet has taught. In other news... this is the last week of this part of my mission. I'll be back in the Couve on Friday!  The last few weeks people have asked, "Are you nervous, excited, scared, or what?" I'm really just feeling good! It'll be good to keep grinding, living and sharing the word of Christ. That doesn't change! Paul Was The First Masterbuilder!!

1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." Be the special! We taught a super cool, extremely spiritual lesson Friday to one of our friends! She is a really nice lady with some adult kids and a husband. She really was seeking peace. We had felt like we should send a reminder text about the lesson to her an hour and a half before the lesson (and thought nothing of it). When we arrived she said she was at work until just a few minutes ago. She was planning to ask to reschedule because she had a lot to get done, but then she got the reminder text from us. She showed it to her boss and said she thought our text was a sign that she needed that lesson. She left work and met with us. We showed her how she can find peace on her own in the scriptures. "Surrounded By Russians"

This was a solid week. I have learned a lot about many different parts of the gospel. My district just got to the in-person MTC today (Wednesday), and it is so sweet!! The people here are so fun, and it is so amazing to work with them in person! I have a very cool story to share.  On my 6 am flight :) from Portland to Salt Lake City today, I was seated on an aisle seat. There was another elder a couple of rows away, so we started talking about where we were going. When I said Dnipro, the man across the aisle from me said with a heavy accent, "You're going to Ukraine!" He proceeded to tell me he was born in Ukraine and grew up in Russia. He was fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian. His family was in the two rows near him. It was so cute to hear his kids say things I could actually understand in Russian.
