"Yes, I Know You're Not Supposed To Eat 13 Ice Cream Sandwiches In One Sitting"

The week has once again flown by. I have received many a birthday wish. To all of you who sent, I will jokingly reply:
I've had twice the time I'd like to know half of you, and half the time I'd like to know the other half.
I will let you decide which group you fall in.

This week I decided to beat my brother's legendary MTC record 12 ice cream sandwiches in one sitting. I picked a Monday, a competitor, and a table. The man with which I was to compete was yet another Finn.

We each grabbed 3 ice cream sandwiches and started eating. As we began taking bites far too large for a man set on failure, I jumped to an early lead. I was up 4-3, … 7-6, and then I hit a wall. I started to slow down and the Finn started speeding up. He was a machine. He got 10 when I was at 8. Where my colon told me to find the nearest hospital, his stomach would tell him to move a couple seats closer to the Ice cream sandwich stash. When it was all said and done, I refused to lose to the legendary feat of my brother, I ate 12.5 ice cream sandwiches. But, the Finn defeated me with a life-shortening 15 sandwiches. Pain. My mind was willing, but the body was not. I will not go into detail about the repercussions of eating nearly 13 sandwiches, but I will tell you at some point I made my way into a bathroom, and my companion and I arrived to class roughly half an hour late. This contest is not for the weak.

On another note, the Russian is coming well. If you would like to, please pray that tensions between Russia and Ukraine will lessen so I can possibly go there. If I don't go there though, it is OK, because God knew everything that would happen long before I got my call. I know God has a plan for each and every one of us.

For my birthday, read the Book of Mormon for an extra 15 minutes. That book will build your faith.

I love you all so much,
-Elder Sheppert

PS- Don't think for a second that a single one of you could stop Sue Bird in the paint. NO CHANCE!
